Alderwood students, families, and community create our school family. We embrace diversity and work together to develop ourselves as reflective, principled, life-long learners. Through collaborative and personalized instruction, we ensure all students reach high standards of intellectual and social development. Our school family strives to be compassionate, productive, and balanced citizens of today’s global community.

Alderwood Elementary School provides a caring learning environment to meet the needs of each child through educational programs that will promote diversity, success and responsibility. In partnership with families and community our staff is committed to ensuring each student fulfills his or her potential in academic, personal, and social growth.

Emergency and Safety Information

Keeping our students and staff safe at school is a top priority. Bellingham Public Schools coordinates with all local emergency responders to ensure our procedures and plans for fire, earthquake, lockdowns and other drills are current and reflect best practices for student safety.
